Miss Mazie is a young female Pearl Coctatiel. She has all her feathers and is a good looking bird. Mazie has not been finger tamed and may be a bit younger than we think - perhaps closer to a year but since she has laid a small egg, she should be at least a year old. Mazie is not a mean bird, she just has not been handled. With some time and patience she will be a delightful pet Mazie makes a lot of different whistle like noises and is curious about new things. When she first came she seemed to always want to eat but that has subsided - I think she was just really hungry. Mazie can be a bit fussy about food and that is another thing I have started working with her on - expanding her diet. Cockatiels make nice pets. They do well with other birds, especially parakeets. I will be putting her in the large flight cage with parakeets once she is finger tamed and I'm sure she is eating a well rounded diet. PetsConnect ...
